If you give me a computer, there's nothing I can not do...

For me, those words ring with truth. I can easily spend hours working online and I typically enjoy every minute of it. There is the occasional mishap where a code wants to be buggy or I get stumped with writers block that leads to tears of frustration, beads of perspiration and a breakthrough after figuring out 1001 ways on how to not fix the problem. Although sometimes I can't fix the problem right away, rest assured I'm the type of person that rolls up their sleeves, stays in late and gets the job done right.

There's almost nothing better than the crisp October air going through your lungs as you scream "Purple!" with thousands of other fans in Dowdy-Fickley Stadium. I'll always be a die-hard Pirate girl who bleeds purple and gold.

I'm a very big Doctor Who fan.. If you can't already tell by the author that I'm reading I really like Science Fiction. But to be fair, I'll read anything scrawled, printed, painted or written via air plane in the sky.

I have so much fun participating in this CSO called ECU Writes. Each semester I am a pen-pal to a couple elementary students within the Pitt County School Systems. This program not only helps mentor young students but helps keeps my writing creative and fresh and always on a deadline.

  • I always admired the way Jobs could walk into a room and completely captivate whomever was there. He is certainly someone I aspire to be like. A creative innovator with big brains and passion.

  • Seems almost too cliche to list MLK on here, but I admire this man for many reasons, the first of which is his passion. MLK's passion to stand up for what he believed to be right, no matter the consequences. Learning about him and his influence in the Civil Rights really influenced me as a child. I like to think I have unshakeable beliefs and that I will always do what's morally right.
    Seems almost too cliche to list MLK on here, but I admire this man for many reasons, the first of which is his passion. Her name is Katie Elizabeth Holland and she's one of my closest friends. I aspire to be like her, super intelligent and fabulous at art. But my biggest envy is her writing. I hope one day I can achieve the level of skill she has in story telling.
    Now this girl isn't famous, you won't see her on any celeb magazines or in the history books (not quite yet), but believe it or not this woman has a very big influence in my life.
